The Bundesliga, commonly known as the Fußball-Bundesliga or 1. Bundesliga, is the premier professional football league in Germany. Established in 1963 and organized by the Deutsche Fußball Liga (DFL), it features 18 clubs competing in a double round-robin format from August to May. As the top tier of the German football league system, it provides qualification for European competitions such as the UEFA Champions League.
